My name is Becki Dodd. I have lived at 2024 N. Lindenholz since 1987. I have always loved the sense of community in out neighborhood. Unfortunately, the parking issues in our neighborhood have become increasingly problematic. In recent years there has been excess traffic and parking on our street by people who do not live in our community, but come from nearby apartment complexes. Problems include:
- Noise early in the morning and late at night from people coming in to park by our homes
- An inability to provide parking for our personal guests and visitors
-Cars that park hanging over the edges of our driveways
-Cars left long term, with people just coming in to move the cars on street sweeping days and returning to park by our homes again for another week
- Recently there were two men sleeping in their car in front of my home.
I am asking this commission to approve the application for permit parking on Lindenholz to help us regain and restore the safety and community tenor of our neighborhood.
Thank you for your time and attention.
