From Sam Billimoria's Request City of Orange considers monuments to honor CYRUS THE GREAT who pioneered the first recorded Human rights in History and whose administration and all aspects of equality and Justice inspired the U.S founding fathers, the U.S. Constitution and the division of states into federalism. Thomas Jefferson considered Cyrus as his hero . Founding Fathers were avid readers of his Manual Cyroopaedia that inspired the U.S Constitution
I have been a resident of the City of Orange for 40 years and reside at 7401 E Saddlehill Trail. Trash is a monopoly as citizens have no recourse but to use the services provided by the City. It is the responsibility of the City to administer and negotiate fair practices for the citizens of Orange. Why is it that during a strong economy, declining inflation, and record profits for companies and CEO's that CR&R has suddenly decided to jump on board with a gouging campaign, the likes of which has been undermining our entire country? Maybe they been emboldened by the slick successes of Waste Management. What is most remarkable is that no effort has been made to seek competitive bidding for their contract and no concrete justification has been given for over 150% increases in bin fees, nor does it seem legal that changes like these are being made a year and a half before the expiration of the existing contract. Has anyone even audited the books of CR&R? One has to wonder what goes on in the back rooms of local government that allows the wheels of such travesties to be so well greased with the public shut out. I hope our city will not follow the suit of the county and other cities that have capitulated to trash services. Finally, it is outrageous that one cannot protest with a comment to the City and has to show up in person. Congrats for orchestrating an impossible protest.
