PLEASE preserve the charm and character of our neighborhood. DO NOT REZONE just because a corporation wants to make a profit.
The proposed design and structures, especially the rooflines and roof shapes, are not consistent with mine and my neighbors’ rooflines, found in the surrounding established neighborhood.

From the Land Use Section, page LU-8: Contextual and Environmental Compatibility:
Policy 6.1: Ensure that new development is compatible with the style and design of established structures and the surrounding environment.

The proposed design DOES NOT adhere to the city of ‘Orange General Plan’:
From the Land Use Section, page LU-4: Land Use Diversity and Balanced Development:
Policy 1.2: Balance economic gains from new development while preserving the character and densities of residential neighborhoods.

Proposed modification of previous design still doesn't allow for privacy for existing homeowners. This first of it's kind project in Orange County puts 49 2-3 story units directly adjacent to to single family homes with only a 10 foot setback. This does not conform to the existing neighborhood and invades into the privacy of existing neighbors. The only allowable option would be to have single story homes adjacent to the existing single story homes and only 2 story homes further back so as to not tower into existing neighborhoods. Rooftop decks do not belong in this area as it would become a safety hazard because Katella Ave is a wind alley and would blow anything not bolted down on the rooftop decks making them a projectile.

This is a badly designed and poorly planned development that diminishes the privacy and environment of the existing neighborhood and residents. Intracorp has no social conscience and total disregard for the existing houses and families that has been here for over 45 years!

This project does not fit or belong near our established neighborhood. We have mostly one story homes. Two story homes towering over one story homes with only a ten foot setback takes away our privacy in our homes and in our backyards. It’s not fair that our yards will be shaded most of the year, killing our gardens and backyard gatherings. Three story homes with 4th story decks are dangerous to say the least. We have fierce Santa Ana Winds. Flying umbrellas will be dangerous over Katella, Cambridge and Carleton.
