With the city facing such a tremendous financial shortfall, it appears an incredible amount of money is being spent or proposed for city and fire facilities, and not on anything that benefits the Orange public. $500,000 for the city facility yard, $1.8 million for the City of Orange Corporation Yard Renovation, we've gotten thhe new fire house on Chapman, and now there is "a need" to replace 4 additional firehhouses at an estimated cost of $7-10 million per house. When revenues don't keep up with spending costs, everyone has to make cuts. Are these renovations really that necessary considering the budget?
