I support this effort. A contractor will be able to supply consistent staff to enforce parking. Volunteers, such as what I have seen enforcing street sweeping marking on my street, are not consistent.

This is overall a good contract that will help maintain consistency in enforcing Municipal Code in regards to vehicles and the California Vehicle Code. I will only point out the hourly cost of the enforcement officers that we are contracting out is high. I encourage the city to direct the Police Department to expand their volunteer program to help mitigate future enforcement costs towards the end of this proposed contract (5 Years).
