I very much support having permit parking on this street. I live in the affected area (641 E. Trenton Ave) and struggle with street parking frequently because people from around the corner (I've watched them park and walk) park in front of my house. It is my understanding that some of the people parking in front of my house are college students renting rooms on a nearby permit only street. They don't have permits as temporary renters, so they park around the corner in front of my place. More than once my driveway has been partially blocked. In addition, I have been unable to pull out my RV a few times because of parked cars of non residents. I have no problem asking a neighbor to move so I can pull the RV out, but these parked cars are not neighbors and I am unable to contact anyone to move their cars. In addition, more than once these parked cars have left trash by the curb and in the street by my house and in front of other houses.
This parking concern has been going on for years and is quite a nuisance for all of the previously mentioned reasons. A permit would alleviate this problem.
