5.1. Public Hearing to consider a request by CDO Orange, LLC, dba Culinary Dropout for a Type 47 ABC License (On-Sale General) at a proposed restaurant located at 191 N. Orange Street and finding of CEQA Exemption (Conditional Use Permit No. 3225).
Would you want to live across from a place that serves alcohol until 10 pm or midnight? I don't live across the street but I can imagine how this would disrupt the neighborhood (by which I mean the people who actually LIVE there). Would you want to have this situation across the street from you? Not only your daily living would be impacted, but likely your property value, which you invested in over the years, would go down. Consider your tax paying Orange residents who care about Orange before looking at only the income that this place might generate but at great cost to the charm of Orange, which attracts plenty of people. .....Sharon Zimmerman
I agree with the data presented by OPD. The sale of alcohol beverages is OVER CONCENTRATED. Is Old Towne morphing into the come and drink (too much) location? Note: This is a high crime area. Seriously--- Outside seating with drinks being consumed till 10 PM - Residential homes right across the street? This idea of a full bar doesn't add anything to OLD TOWNE and in many ways brings It down. I am against having the be a FULL BAR establishment and against any outdoor seating along Maple Street. v/r Jonathan Zimmerman
