At this time, members of the public may address the Council on matters not listed on the agenda within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council, provided that NO action may be taken on off-agenda items unless authorized by law. I'm writing to inform you about the vital services that Fair Housing Foundation (FHF) provides to the residents of Orange-free of cost. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting fair housing, we offer:
• One-on-one confidential counseling on landlord-tenant issues, including rent increases, repairs, and evictions.
• Investigation of housing discrimination complaints to ensure all residents have equal access to housing.
• Free educational workshops covering tenants’ and landlords’ rights and responsibilities. These workshops are held weekly and are available in multiple languages.
Additionally, we would like to invite you and the community to our upcoming Virtual Fair Housing Workshop on March 11th from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. This event will provide valuable information on fair housing laws and rights.
