Please take more time to ensure all reasonable and feasible options are considered to ensure safety of drivers and pedestrians while still maintaining the Old Town style. I do not support obstruction of the public view of the fountain. Can the City increase enforcement of DUI drivers at or near this location?

You should support only implementing more bollards that conform to Old Town style. Only an additional solid physical barrier will provide protection to pedestrians in the plaza.

I oppose the splitter island curb and landscape concept. Curbing is only a short barrier that causes vehicles to deflect and/or to launch into the air and create more danger. The history of the vehicle intrusion has proven that the drivers were DUI and speeding. The curbing will have no effect on DUI drivers that are speeding, and this will simply launch their vehicles. The DUI's eyes appear to focus on the lighting through the plaza making the road seem contiguously straight through the plaza.

The chain and pipe railing should be predominantly bollard and chain.
