Hello Mayor Slater and City Council: I am in support of the efforts of the Orange Sustainability Group in reducing the use of plastic in our retail and restaurant operations. Agenda item 4:1 did not have an option for comments, so I am leaving mine here. There is so much work to be done to clean up our environment, but I think City of Orange can be a leader in reducing the use of plastic - straws - take-out containers, etc. It is a start and will go a long way in reducing what we see in our landfill… because, let’s face it.
